Blizzard’s Overwatch world cup has come to a fitting end as it looks like that the South Koreans have emerged victorious in the competition.

The interesting part here is that South Korea has a pretty much flawless world cup run in the Overwatch world cup and the team did not drop even a single map throughout the whole tournament. The finals were against Russia and as you would have expected, there was no mercy shown as the final score was a massive 4-0 score.

The first map of the game was Temple of Anubis and started off with South Korea on the offense. They managed to flank the Russians and got them where they least expected and this resulted in them capturing the point with one minute remaining. However, when Russia came on the offense side, things were the complete opposite as they failed to create space and utilize their supers in an effective manner. This help them keep the point clear and resulted in a win for South Korea.

he second map was King’s Row which initially saw the Russians gain ground as they almost captured the first point but South Korea’s counterattack was too much for them as they got decimated. After that, it was pretty much one sided with them winning the map with a lot of time left.

The third map, Dorado and the fourth map Lijiang Tower, was played in pretty much the same fashion with Russia unable to hold it together as South Korea emerged as being clearly better than them. This saw South Koreas get a 4-0 win and South Korea became the World Cup winners.
