Blizzard is Recruiting Talent for a Mysterious New Project

Blizzard seems to be recruiting two new software leads for an upcoming, and yet unknown, project.

The interesting part here is that the positions are about working on a "first-person engine". There is already a lot of speculation that Blizzard is looking to establish a new shooter engine. However, another view at this developement could be considered. That is: Virtual Reality. It's really become a trend lately to use VR at eSports tournaments as previously seen at IEM Oakland and ofcourse with the recent announcement of the Overwatch League, it would be an interesting move.

Then there's the option of building upon an existing engine, like the one from Overwatch. It's, untill now, the only 'first person shooter' from the company. It hard to imagine they'd launch another one this soon.

Nothing is confirmed yet, but it's clear that Blizzard is on the path of building something new, yet again. Whenever there's more news about this new Project, we'll be sure to let you know.
